Clinical Research Center (CRC)

The Clinical Research Center (CRC) provides a clinical research infrastructure for investigators who want to conduct patient-oriented clinical research at Texas Children’s Hospital. The facility is located on the 7th Floor of the Abercrombie Building. The CRC admits adults as well as children to the unit and provides coverage 24 hours a day. The facility consists of outpatient clinical research space, three inpatient/swing research rooms, five clinical bed spaces, a room for patient interviews and consultations, a sample preparation laboratory, blood draw room, waiting area, playroom and kitchen.

The CRC offers use of its facilities and resources for clinical studies that have been approved by the BCM IRB and the CRC Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).  A CRC application is required and must be submitted electronically using the link below. Meeting dates and CRC Application submission deadlines for 2017 are as follows. The principal investigator and/or co-investigator must be present at the protocol's assigned review meeting to provide a short verbal summary of the protocol and respond to any committee questions.
